For now, I am not directly sure about what college I want to go to but I want to go to a college where it is not too far to my home. I want to go to a college where it can really improve my strengths and to to learn more about my own career. I am now thinking that I will go to U of H or the University of Houston. I would want to go there, because it is not that far and there are more choices for different careers. I also think of going to the University of Texas at Houston, where it is about health science and medical research.
Another reason why I want to go to U of H and not to HBU is because it is less expensive. The cost of going to HBU is about $28,000 a year, while U of H is about $8,000 a year. Requirements for going to U of H includes at least a GPA of 2.5 and a 1500 on SAT scores, but the SAT score minimum may vary to a low standard to people who reach a top rank in class and it is organized by the performance of students and their GPA collectively. Requirements also include 4 units of English, 3 units of math and social studies, and 2 units of science from high school.
The U of H is the third largest university in Texas. It is a public college and it was founded in 1927. It has a total of about 38,500 students attending. U of H also has some activities such as music, art, architecture, theatre, dance, and sports. It also has some students living in the campus while some don't. I think I do not want to live in the campus, since it isn't too far from my home, and the cost of going there while planning to stay will be a bit more expensive.
My college major would be biological and medical science. I would like to study on the field of medicine, surgery, health, illness, or other biological field. I would also like to learn more about biological science and technology to get a career on medical or technological science. I would like to work as a surgeon, radiologist, or pathologist because I like to work on biological and medical science and to help out sick, injured, or people who need organ transplants, removal or repair of organ ttissue.
I am thinking that I can use this major for mostly becoming into some kind of doctor. One of the reasons why I want this career is that i am interested in biomedical study and to help people with their diseases, and poor health conditions. I can also cause an impact by discovering diseases, and help find effective cures and treatments to lethal, serious diseases such as AIDS, or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, a disease caused by HIV or human immunodeficiency virus, a retrovirus. I can also cause impacts by finding more effective ways to cure disease, injury, or even discover new ideas such as unknown pathogens or inventions.
